ReplyDeleteMy first day at Red I got whiplash trying to watch Nat doing situps. Ever since, week after week, I have seen her score amazing times, nail amazing lifts and absolutely squash the rest of us on wods so tough that even Ghandi would rather take up an AK-47 in anger rather than try to do another kb overheard squat....(you really suck by the way Cody!) To top it all off she is a sweetheart with the true humility of a great athlete. What a great Crossfit Role model. Congrats Nat! look forward to you kicking my ass throughout 2011!
ReplyDeleteHow about 2010 CFR Athlete of the Year Who Happens to be Female Natalie McLain! Don't know many guys who can out-WOD her, which simply makes her co-Athlete of the Year. And I know she's embarrassed by all this talk...but not enough to back off. Way to go, kid!
ReplyDeleteNat is my original CF inspiration (Now that I am a part of RED there are so many more). She suggested that I join ages ago and I finally listened in July. For that, I will be forever grateful. But more-so, I am continually inspired by the chats we have about the workouts. It is often her words echoing in my head that make me push myself to the limit. Nat, I am glad to know you and workout next to you. Your drive and devotion feed my drive and devotion. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAND...she makes some damn good toffee too!!! Talk about well rounded :) Nat, the original Cool Cat...keep doin' what you do and know that we are ALL inspired by your strength, loyalty and humble attitude! Definitely Games Worthy!
ReplyDeleteLove ya sis ~ CD
I always look for Nat's name on the whiteboard. Not to see how close I came to her time (which is usally at least double hers), but to see how awesome she did. THANK YOU Nat for being an inspiration to so many other Crossfitter's (me) - you truly deserve this honor! Sonya with an "s"
ReplyDeleteRight after she finishes a WOD in record time and takes 3 seconds to catch her breath, you can always count on Nat to be the first one to encourage and cheer everyone else on. Many a time I've been hunched over feeling like I'm gonna lose a lung and there she is with a "keep it up! You can do it!" Congratulations, Nat, you're strength and attitude are truly inspiring!
ReplyDeleteNatelie, I remember the first time TonyaSonya and I saw you doing a WOD at RED. 'Who the HELL is that?'-We pretty much said at the same time. It's so cool and inspiring to watch you tearing it up! Thanks for being a 'When I grow up, I want to be like that' kind of person. YOU RULE!!!
