Billy has focus. He is Teachable...even at 39;) He is tenacious. He respects everyone around him and responds to quality. He has brought his beautiful daughters up to be the same way. They also CrossFit. So does his lovely, incredibly smart and talented wife, Amy who is an MD. These are the types of people who commit to CrossFit as a lifestyle. They overcome obstacles, injuries and weak points and continue to get stronger, more flexible, more athletic. Imagine those who say that CrossFit is crazy- well billy does look a little crazy in this shot! Yeah, Billy...get full ROM!

FLAG FOOTBALL
Jeff Wilson (2) would like to gather some lads together and play some Fball. Check it out here if youwant to join him and a few others and light up the field this Spring. Don't hesitate if you're serious because the roster will fill faster than expected.
SATURDAY CLASSES
As of March 19th, we will be hosting a large Saturday 9 am class called "SHARE THE PAIN"- every Saturday. This will cancel out the 10 o `clock foundations class and push the 9/10 together.
"SHARE THE PAIN" classes are free for friends to try. WE welcome new people and veterans both as we get together as one unit and perform a Benchmark WOD every time. It will also give us ample time to prepare for THE OPEN which starts at 11am. Let's bring our friends in, eh?
every so often i'm reminded of how Crossfit justifies some movements as "functional movement" like yesterday when i tried to squat past 90 to yep, sit down on the toilet. it was horrible. i'm tempted to write a JeffH style diatribe about the evils of crossfit but i'll hold back and say ok now i understand why tuesday's wod was called "I Hate Tabata." although i guess the real problem isn't tabata it's really two-a-day-tuesday that got me. so the moral of the story is that even though i'm now wheelchair bound, using a toilet riser, have had grab bars installed all over the bathroom, and am on my way right now to get my medical mariguana card . . .
ReplyDeleteI STILL LOVE TABATA!!
Thanks Kerry..i was getting tired of being the only one bitching on this site...:)
ReplyDeleteIn reference to yesterday's posting...I'm so F***ing stoked to see how Isaac and Sam, Jess, Nat and all the other die-hards we got do in the open/regionals. I bought my tickets to the Games in July yesterday fully planning to see these guys competing.
I think we should all road trip out via Vegas...although my idea of a vegas road trip is prolly quite different from you firebreathers....Can only imagine Isaac making us pull into every rest area to double up a Fran/helen combo....while Nat works on Handstand pushups in the back of the van. If Ty promises to be the sober driver, I'll elect myself equipment manager and official booze supplier.....
btw...I LOVE TABATA...best wod in weeks!
